INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CAREER PROGRAM

With practical English skills and extensive knowledge of business
We train people to be active in all kinds of companies.

Along with English, students acquire a wide range of specialized knowledge and skills required in the business world. The curriculum is a condensed version of what students learn in the business administration and commerce departments of universities. Through fieldwork and group work, students develop the conceptualization and planning skills needed to grasp the needs of the world and create new products and services. Graduates find employment in a variety of fields, including trading companies, airlines, logistics, automobile manufacturers, hotels, apparel, and IT, with many graduates working in marketing and advertising-related departments. We train students to be active in all types of companies, transcending the boundaries of industry.

MORE

The department focuses on the development of the three skills of "multilateral thinking," "mental muscles," and "systems thinking x design thinking. In class, students read the world from all perspectives, including political, economic, social, and psychological, through familiar subjects. Students also learn to work with others through group work, and acquire stress control (mental muscle), leadership, and followership, which are essential for working adults. In addition, we will cross logical, left-brain systems thinking with intuitive, right-brain design thinking to cultivate the foundation for innovative thinking. This is a department where those who are struggling with their future can find their own path through learning.

IBC is a "department that doesn't leave people around".
The experience of working on a team to tackle a challenge will last a lifetime.

In fact, my parents are graduates of Kanda University of Foreign Languages. Although the university was attractive, I decided to go to Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages because I wanted to concentrate on learning practical English in two years. I chose this department because I wanted to acquire skills that would be useful in the business world. Besides, I intuitively thought, "There seem to be a lot of interesting classes! I thought. I have countless wonderful memories, but I especially remember winning the "Department's Promotional CM Contest. Through this experience, I started to always think about "what I can do for the team because it is me. Even after class, there is an atmosphere of "Let's speak English! I was able to learn English in a natural way. After graduation, I will work in the customer service department of a foreign logistics company. The department receives many inquiries from overseas, so I am sure that the language skills I developed at Kanda Institute of Languages will come in handy. The International Business Career Course (IBC) is recommended for "people who lack self-confidence. This is a department where there is a lot of group work. You will have many opportunities to express your own opinions in class, and you will gain a lot of experience working together with your classmates to overcome challenges. Why don't you think carefully about your future for two years while acquiring the powerful weapon of English language skills?

I became interested in marketing through the influence of my parents who worked in the retail industry. I could not study at all until high school, and my TOEIC? score was 315 right after entering school. I was told by my teacher that I needed to score 800 points in order to transfer to a designated school through a recommendation system, and I studied hard for the next four months, but my score did not improve as much as I would have liked. I realized that studying in the dark in my own way would not be effective. Since then, I have practiced a study method that suits me, which was taught to me by several teachers. In my second year, I was involved in seminar activities to come up with a business plan on the theme of "social issues," and our team proposed a "food drive" based at a school. In an intramural contest, our proposal was highly evaluated for its ability to solve both poverty and food loss issues at the same time. Above all, we felt confident that our ideas were conveyed through our seminar presentation.
Currently, I am researching "policies for coexistence with foreign residents in Japan" at Nanzan University. In addition, I am spending my days doing a long-term internship in the marketing department of a company, serving on the executive committee of a university festival, and other fulfilling activities. I am now able to tackle everything with enthusiasm because I was able to learn the "joy of learning" at Kanda Institute of Languages. In the future, my goal is to start a business and solve social issues through the power of business. I want to create services and products that enrich the world and make as many people happy as possible.
