Learn Korean while having fun and expanding your future possibilities.

Korea is a foreign country close to Japan. Why not learn the language of such a country? In recent years, many people have become interested in the Korean language because of K-POP and Korean dramas. Since the word order of Korean is almost the same as that of Japanese, progress in Korean is relatively quick, and you will soon be able to understand the meaning of lyrics and enjoy dramas without Japanese subtitles. Also, by learning about words that are popular among young people and the differences between Korean and Japanese culture, students will become more interested in the Korean language. Expand your future possibilities, such as working with Korean or transferring to a university.

Two years of fun and mastery of Korean and English.
We will use our language skills to deliver hospitality to our overseas customers.

When I was a high school student, I made a Korean friend on SNS and fell in love with the Korean language. Wanting to find a job that would utilize my language skills in the future, I enrolled in Kanda Institute of Languages, which has an excellent track record of employment. When I first entered the school, I was surprised at the high level of Korean language ability of my classmates, and I was anxious because I could not understand what the native Korean-speaking teachers were saying at all. However, as I received instruction that emphasized speaking, my listening ability also improved. In my first year, I actively participated in after-school FLL classes to prepare for the TOPIK exam. The teachers and seniors taught me specific test-taking strategies, and I was able to obtain the highest level, Level 6, within 8 months of entering the school. I also participated in various extracurricular activities, such as being a member of the open campus staff and a member of the graduation party committee. I learned a lot from interacting with students and teachers from other departments. After graduation, I will work in the Accommodation Department of the Imperial Hotel. My goal is to become a concierge who is trusted by guests. I would like to make use of the language skills I have acquired at Kanda Institute of Languages to provide our overseas guests with Japanese-style hospitality.

He studied cultural content at a Korean university where he transferred.
I am making use of my language skills honed at a corporate bank in Korea.

I have had a longing for Korea since I was a child. However, when I first entered Kanda Institute of Languages, I could not speak Korean at all and felt hopeless when I realized the difference in ability between my classmates and myself. ...... The turning point for me was a training program in Korea that I participated in during the summer vacation of my first year. During my three-week stay at Myongji University in Seoul, I was praised by local students for my Korean speaking ability. If you have the courage to speak, you will be understood!" I was so confident that I could speak Korean. After gaining such confidence, I was able to enjoy conversations more. I also learned some expressions unique to young people that are not included in textbooks, which made me like the Korean language even more. After returning to Japan, I concentrated on studying for the TOPIK exam with the goal of studying abroad in Korea. My efforts paid off as I obtained the 5th grade and was able to transfer to Kyunghee University in Seoul for my third year of study. The Department of Culture, Tourism, and Contents at Kyunghee University is unique in that it offers a wide range of studies. I was particularly impressed with the classes in which I learned about the history of video games and animation. I studied until midnight in cafes and received recommendations for Korean food. ...... The time I spent with my local friends during my study abroad is a memory I will cherish forever. After graduation, I wanted to put my Korean to good use, so I got a job at the Japan branch of IBK Enterprises Bank, which is headquartered in Seoul. I have now obtained the highest level, TOPIK Level 6. While using both Japanese and Korean, I am in charge of window operations, mainly handling remittances and transfers for small and medium-sized Korean companies. I am fulfilled every day, and if I could, I would like to go back to being a student at Kanda Institute of Languages again. It has been such a fun two years, and it has gone by so quickly.
