KUIS is located along Tokyo Bay between Tokyo and Narita International Airport in a metropolitan area of Chiba prefecture called Makuhari. The university is set in an educational zone with other universities and educational facilities. Makuhari Messe Convention and Exhibition Center, the World Business Garden, international hotels, new apartment complexes, shopping facilities, and several parks are a part of this new community. Makuhari beach and a Japanese garden with a tea-house are also located close-by.
